September 2022 – Fall Auction

The long-awaited big Fall Auction is back!!!

If you have attended any of our big Spring and Fall auctions pre COVID, then you know the place. We are not going Downtown any longer.

Here's how it's going to work.

Check-in starts at 10am, auction starts at 11am, and concludes at 6pm. There will be an on-line, bag, pre-registration announced about a week prior to the event. You may also register your bag at the event, however there could be a long line. So, avoid the lines and pre-register when we announce it.

Unlike monthly meetings, anyone can sell in this auction! Like always, everyone is welcome to bid.
The club gets the first $1 on each bag. Then there's a split.
For Members, you get 70% of the sales price and the AAAA gets 30%

For Nonmembers, you get 60% of the sales price and the AAAA gets 40%

Bidding will start at $2 per bag.

We will have Priority Stickers available for $2 each. Buyers and sellers may purchase these stickers and apply them to any bag. This will push the bag to the front of the line. Buyers, if you can't stay all day, and want to insure you get to bid on the bag you want, buy a Priority Sticker! Sellers, if you don't want to wait for the pickers to select your bag for bidding, get a Priority Sticker and push it to the front of the line.

There will be no dry goods (tanks, equipment, d├ęcor, etc) allowed. Only live fish and plants. Take your dry goods to one of our swap meets. There are no bag limits, so bring what you have. Although, keep in mind that if you bring a lot of bags of the same thing, you will drive the price down. One or two bags will always go for a higher per bag price, than 10 bags will.
All purchases must be settled at the event.

Sellers will receive a check in the mail after the Treasurer and Bookkeeper complete their audit. This usually takes a week or two.

We will also be selling food tickets for $1. One ticket for drinks, and two tickets for pizza!

These auctions take a lot volunteers to make things go smoothly. If you are interested in helping out, reach out to myself Paul VanBrug or Pat Riggins.

Keep in mind that these big auctions are a major source of fundraising for the club. This is what enables us to bring in premier speakers from out of town to speak at our regular meetings.
