    They are not really a true anglerfish but part of the angler fish family. The Antennarius genus are frogfish and 1 of the 11 species biocellatus is a brackish water species. There are some in the hobby that claim they can live in pure freshwater but most seem to say brackish for best health. This seems like a pretty common thing with brackish fish, they can handle fresh for a time but don’t thrive in it.

    I think these guys look so awesome and it is very much on my fish keeping bucket list to have a tank with these guys.
